Future Big Ideas
New ideas for tinybalcony Concerts and other projects on the horizon.
Small but great beginnings . . .
tinybalcony Concerts had existed for a little over 1 month when a reporter from MPR sent me a message on Nextdoor asking to come and do a story for the online publication. This link has a clip of my playing, but also a nice article about how it all began.
More Press . . .
A nice piece by WCCO came not a day later :) This time the neighbors got to speak about tinybalcony Concerts and what it meant to the community.
Season II
The schedule is in the works and some new ideas are taking shape. There will be more collaborations with dancers and a focus on artists of color in our great city. I am waiting for it to be warm enough to start playing outside again - it’s been a long winter.
Community Partners
I am on the brink of announcing some new community partners. Exciting news to come very soon!
Accordion Additions . . .
Dan Chouinard happens to be my neighbor and when we were finally introduced he began sharing his lovely talents sometimes as much as once a week. He sparked the inspiration for Tango Tuesdays.
Final piece of the puzzle . . .
Zoe Henrot is the founder and Artistic Director of Ballet Co.Laboratory and a beautiful dancer, but first and foremost a great friend. She texted one evening after watching a video from tinybalcony Concerts and wondered if I might invite her to dance. Of course, I said YES!
New Collaborations
Check the Calendar page for the latest on dancers and other collaborators that are new to Season II. If you loved Zoé and Ballet Co.Laboratory, don’t despair, they will be back as well :)
